Welcome to the Scottish Laser Grand Prix web site. This site is for anyone interested in racing Laser single-handed dinghies in Scotland. The Grand Prix Series takes place during the season at clubs all over Scotland. Whether you're a hotshot, or just enjoy sailing in beautiful places, you'll find this a fun series to take part in.
The final event of the season took place on September 17-18 at Prestwick SC. Peter Malcolm won in the Standard rig under pressure from Angus Grey-Stephens and Andrew Stott who had come up from Redesmere.
Andrew McGowan showed the Radial fleet a clean pair of heels to record a clean sweep of all 6 races. Alex Still and Ian Fitzgerald completed the top 3.
We had a small 4.7 fleet for the first time this year, with Dean Malcolm coming out narrowly in front of Sophie Taylor.
Congratulations to Peter Malcolm who took the triple of GP series, Scottish Championship and Inland Championship in the Standard Rig.
In the Radial's Iain McLaughlan won the GP series and Inland Championship, with Andrew McGowan taking home the Scottish Championship.
